Making a Difference in Our County

We're working hard for the citizens we serve even through a pandemic. Here are some examples of successful projects from the past year:

In 2024, Rockdale Extension received $145,000 in USDA funding for
the expansion of an educational garden at Wheeler Park. The project
will build on successes with pollinator education and produce
donations through ongoing collaboration with the Master Gardeners
Extension Volunteers. Garden programming will connect citizens with
where their food comes from & empower many to garden at home.

Rockdale Eats A Rainbow reached 100+ weekly attendees, and 4-H
saw a 300% increase in youth at 4th-6th grade District Project
Achievement. These programs, as well as new successes like the 4-H
engineering club and cooking club, will be repeated in 2025.
